PLANTERS

As an avid cactus and succulent collector I found it almost impossible to find suitable pots for my specimen plants. Years ago I came across a used pottery wheel for sale and remembered how I loved the feel of clay as a child in school and realized that I could learn to create my own pots. This is the point where a great adventure began, bringing me to a career as a full-time potter, bringing me full circle back to the plants that I love.

Stoneware cactus pot   5  1/4 x 4''
This planter is approximately 5 1/4 inches in diameter and about 4 inches in height.  The foot raises the pot about 1/4 inch and the drainage hole is about 1/2 inch in diameter.  It weighs just under 1 1/2 lbs and is designed to keep your plants from tipping over as the soil dries ! 

This pot has been fired to stoneware temperature and is coated on the exterior with a textural gloss glaze   $ 18

This pot is approximately 6 inches in diameter and about 3  inches in height. The foot raises the pot about 1/4 inch and the drainage hole is 3/4 inch in diameter.

Remember that raku pottery is fragile by nature and this pot will not be as durable and long lived as a stoneware it may be more along the lines of terra cotta .
